Northside Homes LLC acquired the farm next to the Corner Grocery on June 17. The farm was the remainder of the Fisher farm, more recently owned by Jack and Debbie Graves. Northside Homes LLC is operated by Mike Bradley and Scott Bradley.
What does the future hold for the Fisher/Graves property in Midway? That story has yet to be written but one of the more important, broader goals of Mike and Scott Bradley is affordability while ensuring the neighborhood fits the design and feel of the Midway they came to love since their family moved from Los Angeles in 1979.
The parents of Scott and Mike Bradley, Shirley and Chuck (Mr B to many in Midway), purchased the Corner Grocery that same year. All five of the siblings would eventually work in the store, and Scott and his wife Susan, owned the Corner Grocery until a few months ago.
“Whatever the final design of the neighborhood is, I want to make it truly a part of Midway, something my mother would be proud of, something young families could afford so they could enjoy growing up in Midway as much as I did.” says Missy Bradley, wife of Mike Bradley. Missy's family has a long history in Midway. Her mother was Mrs Betty Bright, Midway's first woman City Council member.
“We will work hard to come up with a design befitting Midway, and one that will remain as attractive in future years as it will be new. Affordable housing designed for individual owners, attractive smaller homes with very nice finishes.” Mike Bradley continues,”I'm anxious to get something to present to the City and to Planning, to begin the process of any zoning requests and annexation. We anticipate that soon but have no date as of yet.”
